Existing While Female
Despite the advances society has made, it’s still not possible to entirely avoid going outside. And going outside generally involves being visible to other people. Which is fine unless you are one of those women who doesn’t like strange men whistling or leering at you. And no, it really doesn’t matter what you look like. Apparently, women are ‘asking for trouble’ by being in a man’s line of sight.
Existing while female means crossing paths with people whose mothers didn’t teach them not to talk to strangers. Just to set the record straight, I am all for people putting down their phones and actually talking to each other. However opening lines like these don’t count as friendly banter to most women:
Nice <insert body part>!
Hey beautiful!
Where are you from? Can you take me there?
Looking cute baby!
For some reason a fair amount of males seem to have confused creeping out women as a form of complimenting them. As a general rule, if it’s not something you would say to another male, chances are an unknown female doesn’t want to hear that from you either. And no sending someone a Facebook request does not count as ‘knowing’ them.
